Beardsley Farm Calendar 2018
Beardsley Community Farm is a small, non-profit farm that seeks to alleviate food insecurity in the Knox County area. Nearly 11,000lb of produce are grown per year, all of which is donated to local food pantries, kitchens and shelters. In addition to food production, Beardsley Farm focuses on education in sustainability, nutrition and organic farming practices by hosting summer camps, field trips and over 2,000 volunteers a year.
This year I had the privilege of volunteering time to illustrate and design Beardsley's calendar and growing guide. All profits from calendar sales go directly to the organization to be used on keeping their crucial work going.
Dated portion of the calendar. The month title and underline will match in color scheme to the month picture. Every month has a different fact in the lower right corner, also corresponding to the image. In the lower left corner is a list of plants to harvest, start indoors and plant.
